CHARLESTON -- Joseph O'Neal, 67, of Charleston, died Sunday, Dec. 22, 1991, at Baptist Central Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
He was born Dec. 8, 1923, at Charleston, son of George and Mary Jo Stewart O'Neal. He and Dorothy Evans were married June 2, 1946.
O'Neal attended Chillicothe Business College, and received a doctor of pharmacy degree from the University of Tennessee.
He owned and operated Clinic Pharmacy here, retiring in 1986. He was a member of St. Henry's Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus in Charleston, Eagles at Sikeston, and Elks at Cairo, Ill. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, and a brother, James O'Neal of Bridgeton.
He was preceded in death by a sister.
Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Henry's Church. The Rev. Raymond Kunkel will officiate, with burial in Calvary Cemetery here.
Friends may call at McMikle Funeral Home after 5 p.m. Wednesday. A prayer service will be held at 7, with the Rev. Patrick O'Neal of Normal, Ill., officiating.
