Joseph Mason Sachse, 53, of 232 Cadmium Lane died Saturday, Feb. 7, 1998, at his home.
He was born May 24, 1944, at Old Appleton, the son of Dale and Sally Buchheit Sachse. He and Janetta Mae Irvin were married April 19, 1966. She died April 6, 1997.
He grew up in Cape Girardeau and graduated from Cape Central High School. He was a construction laborer and lifetime member of Local 282 of the Laborers Union. He worked on construction at the Show Me Center, Southeast Missouri Hospital, Lonestar Cement and Noranda Aluminum.
He is survived by his mother of Cape Girardeau; a son, Troi N. "Nick" Sachse of Elizabethtown, Ky.; a daughter, Ginger Sachse of Cape Girardeau; a friend, Judy Douglas of Cape Girardeau; three brothers, Paul William Sachse of Murray, Ky., Bob Sachse of Jackson and Mike Sachse of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Jinny Schenimann of Cape Girardeau and Sue Fulton of Jackson; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Monday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the chapel with the Rev. Don Stephens officiating.
Burial will be at Old Appleton United Methodist Church.
