NEW WELLS -- Funeral for Joseph J. Kridel of New Wells will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Immanuel Lutheran Church. The Rev. Walter Patzwitz will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 5-8 p.m. today.
Kridel, 71, died Wednesday, June 9, 1999, at his home.
He was born Aug. 25, 1927, in New York City, N.Y., son of George M. and Helen Elsasser Kridel. He and Nelda Meyr were married July 9, 1966, at Williston Park, N.Y.
Kridel had worked at Brookhaven National Laboratory in Brookhaven, N.Y.; KG Brown Co. in Mattituck, N.Y.; and was a sheet metal mechanic at Northrop-Grumman Aerospace Corp. in Calverton, N.Y. He retired in 1988 and moved to New Wells.
He was a member of Immanuel Church in New Wells. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Timothy Kridel of Overland Park, Kan., and a sister, Harriet Scarrano of Brookhaven.
He was preceded in death by a brother.
