COBDEN, Ill. -- Joseph E. High, 66, of Kimberling City, Mo., died Tuesday, July 21, 1998, at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, Mo.
He was born March 23, 1932, in Cobden, son of Albert and Ethel Hall High. He and Sharon A. Rendleman were married Nov. 22, 1957, in Cobden.
High was a retired carpenter. He was a member of Chicago Heights Masonic Lodge 851 AF&AM at Crete.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Sally White of Manhattan; a son, Tim High of New Lenox; a brother, Bob High of Marion; four sisters, Jean Harrison of Marion, Pat Anderson of Carterville, Shirley Morrison of Cobden, Alberta Gearhart of Peotone; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, and four sisters.
Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Cobden after 6 p.m. Thursday. A Masonic service will be conducted at 7 by Cobden Masonic Lodge 466 AF&AM.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Clifford Heil officiating. Burial will be in Cobden Cemetery.
