WYATT, Mo. -- Joseph Bailey "Joe" Goodall, 89, of Wyatt died Thursday, July 21, 2005, at the home of a daughter in Vina, Ala. He was born April 24, 1916, in Marion, Ill., son of Charlie Richard and Lue Etta Fowler Goodall. He and Nellie Janette Corbett were married Feb. 14, 1940. She died July 31, 1991...

WYATT, Mo. -- Joseph Bailey "Joe" Goodall, 89, of Wyatt died Thursday, July 21, 2005, at the home of a daughter in Vina, Ala.

He was born April 24, 1916, in Marion, Ill., son of Charlie Richard and Lue Etta Fowler Goodall. He and Nellie Janette Corbett were married Feb. 14, 1940. She died July 31, 1991.

Goodall had worked at American Can Co. in Illinois, Valley Steel Co., and Burkart in Cairo, Ill. He was a member of Wyatt Baptist Church.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.

Survivors include three daughters, Linda Ruge of Stone Park, Ill., Jo Nell Beiler of Oswego, Ill., Rachel Boyd of Vina; two brothers, John Goodall of Gassville, Ark., Ernest "Rip" Goodall of Granite City, Ill.; a sister, Clara Heffner of Delta; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. until time of service Saturday at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston, Mo.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Tom Bridges officiating. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery near Charleston.
