Joseph Cecil "J.C." Frey Jr., 92, died Jan. 16, 2014, at Methodist North Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. today at Munford Funeral Home, Munford Chapel, in Munford, Tenn. He was a retired riverboat captain on the Mississippi and Ohio rivers for 49 years...

He was a retired riverboat captain on the Mississippi and Ohio rivers for 49 years.

He is survived by five children, Juanita Nale, Bobby Frey, Joey Frey, Susan McHaney and Tommy Frey. He had 15 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
