JOSEPH E. YAMNITZ

JACKSON -- Joseph E. Yamnitz, 95, of Jackson, died Wednesday, Nov. 20, 1991, at Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Sept. 18, 1896, in Alliance, son of Barnhardt and Elizabeth Fadler Yamnitz. He and Annie E. Johnson were married Nov. 7, 1917.

Yamnitz was a retired farmer and mail carrier. He was a member of Patton Presbyterian Church and Perryville American Legion. He moved to the Jackson area in 1970 from Patton.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Edwin Yamnitz of Jackson; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, four brothers and a sister.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Liley Funeral Chapel in Patton. The Rev. Stan Martin will officiate, with burial in Yount Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. today.
