CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Joseph Earl Cobb, 52, of Harrisburg, Illinois, passed away Monday, June 30, 2014, at Harrisburg Medical Center.

He was born May 27, 1962, in Chaffee, to James Earl and Doris Mae Keller Cobb. He and Mary Lynn Brown were married June 6, 2011.

Joseph was a veteran of the United States Army.

Survivors include his father, James Cobb of Moscow, Tennessee; his wife, Mary of Harrisburg; four daughters, Jaclyn Bagley of Bethalto, Illinois, Heather Richardson of Shelburn, Indiana, Josie Cobb of Sullivan, Indiana, and Samantha Lucas of Merom, Indiana; a son, Jacob Sales of Bethalto; two stepsons, Alik Brown and Michael Riley of Harrisburg; a stepdaughter, Shauna Haney of Harrisburg; six brothers, David Cobb of Oakland, Tennessee, Jerry Cobb of Wood River, Illinois, Dan Cobb of California, Bill Cobb of Missouri, Donnie Nizinski and Gary Booth of Wood River; four sisters, Sheri Nizinski of Wood River, Lorine Gernon of Bethalto, Anna Pratt of Mountain Home, Arkansas, and Margaret Stroup of Dexter, Missouri; an aunt, Jewel Hampton of Chaffee; and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Doris Cobb; a daughter, Emma Louis Cobb; and his parents who raised him since age 7, Gilbert and Emma Cobb.

Friends may call from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.
