CAIRO, Ill. -- Joseph Boalbey, 81, of Cairo died Monday, Feb. 14, 2000, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. He was born Oct. 27, 1918, in Cairo, son of Solomon and Rose Joe Boalbey. CAIRO, Ill. -- Joseph Boalbey, 81, of Cairo died Monday, Feb. 14, 2000, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Oct. 27, 1918, in Cairo, son of Solomon and Rose Joe Boalbey.

Survivors include three sisters, Lutefa Malooley of Terre Haute, Ind., Edna Parker of Indianapolis, Ind., Loraine Nassif of Anamosa, Iowa; and a brother, Richard Boalbey of Rock Island, Ill.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo. The Rev. Canon Arnold Hoffman will officiate. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Gardens in Villa Ridge.

Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 10 a.m. until service time.
