SIKESTON, Mo. -- Jordan Elizabeth Miller, 25, of Sikeston, Mo., died March 11, 2013 in Cape Girardeau County.
She was born March 19, 1987, in Sikeston to Kent J. and Ginger Pharris Miller, who survive of the home in Sikeston.
She worked at the North Main Florist in Sikeston and had been employed previously by Crossroads Inc., of Sikeston. She also was a certified nurse's assistant. She graduated from Sikeston Public Schools. At a young age, she began playing the violin, using and learning the Suzuki Violin Method. She played with the Sikeston Public Schools Orchestra. She was known by those who loved her for having a creative and nurturing spirit.
Besides her parents, she is survived by one brother, Byron K. Miller of Sikeston; paternal grandparents, Roy E. and Wilma Miller of Tamms, Ill.; and maternal grandfather, Jimmie Pharris of Sikeston. She also is survived by a special uncle and aunt, Jimmie and Judy Pharris II of Sikeston, a special aunt and uncle, Marcy Miller Borel and her husband Rhine Borel of New Iberia, La.,; a special cousin, Daniel Pharris of Sikeston; and a special friend, Bryce Baker of Sikeston.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Neva York Pharris.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the First Christian Church in Sikeston.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the First Christian Church, with Rev. Brice Hughes officiating. He will be assisted by the Rev. Mary McCord. Burial will be in the Sikeston City Cemetery.
