JACKSON - Jackson resident Jon McReynolds died at St. Francis Medical Center Wednesday, Nov. 27, 1991. He was 45.
He was born Aug. 13, 1946 in Marshalltown, Iowa, the son of Philip McReynolds of Clinton and Shirley Reynolds McReynolds of Waynesville.
He married Christine Bloomfield Oct. 29, 1970 at Kirksville. She survives along with a son, Ryan Patrick McReynolds, and a daughter, Heather Ann McReynolds, both of the home.
Surviving as well are a brother, Philip M. McReynolds II of Springfield, and sisters Jeri Lyn Davis of Plano, Texas, and Joan Bales of Waynesville.
He graduated from Northeast Missouri State College in Kirksville in 1971. They moved to Jackson in 1978 from Omaha, Neb. He was self-employed with the F-I Credit Life Insurance Agency in Jackson.
He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jackson, the Jackson American Legion post, the Veterans of Foreign Wars post in Cape Girardeau, and the Travelers Protective Association. McReynolds was also an Army veteran in the Vietnam War.
Funeral service will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church in St. Robert. The Rev. Russell Judge will officiate. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery at St. Robert.
Visitation will be Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson. An American Legion Honor Guard service will be held at 7:30 p.m.
