SIKESTON, Mo. -- Johnny W. Marshall Sr., 82, of Sikeston died on Friday, Dec. 1, 2000, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center. He was born on Sept. 2, 1918, at Crowder, Mo., son of Cyrus and Carrie Cobb Marshall. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church for more than 50 years. SIKESTON, Mo. -- Johnny W. Marshall Sr., 82, of Sikeston died on Friday, Dec. 1, 2000, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center.

He was born on Sept. 2, 1918, at Crowder, Mo., son of Cyrus and Carrie Cobb Marshall.

He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church for more than 50 years. He had been a grain ledger for Scott County Milling Co. and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a member of Henry Meldrum American Legion Post 114.

He and Norma Jean Mannon were married June 23, 1940, at Benton, Mo.

Survivors include his wife of the home; three sons, Stephen Marshall of Rogersville, Mo., Johnny Marshall Jr. of Paducah, Ky., and Daniel Marshall of Sikeston; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.

Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.

Funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Allen Basham officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
