SIKESTON -- Johnie Mae Swaim, 74, of Sikeston, died Tuesday, March 5, 1996, in Sikeston.

She was born May 13, 1921, in Martinville, Ark., daughter of Edgar Talbert and Sarah A. Herring Lovelady.

She married Milburn H. Love, who died in June 1955. She then married Lynn Swaim, who survives.

Swaim worked in the alteration department of the Elite Shop for several years. She was a member of the Little Vine Baptist Church.

Survivors are her husband; a daughter, Brenda Marcus of Matthews; two sisters, Louise Day of Conway, Ark., and Dorothy Richards of Oran; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three sisters.

Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today.

Service will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Ed Pangburn officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
