John Lewis Warden, 69, of Mountain View, Ark., formerly of Scott City, died Saturday, July 21, 2012, at John L. McClellan Memorial Veterans Hospital in Little Rock, Ark.
He was born Dec. 31, 1942, in Jonesboro, Ark.
Warden was a member of First Christian Church. He was an engineer 37 years with Cotton Belt Railroad.
He served two tours of duty in Vietnam with the U.S. Marine Corps.
Survivors include a son, Eric Warden of Cabot, Ark., a daughter, Melissa Gregson of Sherwood, Ark.; two brothers, Buel Warden III of Snellville, Ga., Mick Warden of Pocahontas, Ark.; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Inez Warden; stepmother, Jackie Warden; father, Buel F. "Sheenie" Warden Jr.; and a sister, Linda Warden.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Griffin Leggett-Rest Hills Funeral Home, 7724 Landers Road, in North Little Rock, Ark.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday. Burial will be in National Cemetery.
