John Calvin Wagner of Fredericktown, Mo., died Thursday, May 23, 2002, at ClaRu Deville Nursing Center in Fredericktown.
He was born Nov. 6, 1942, at Fredericktown, son of Alfred and Louise Wagner. He and Marcia Mercier were married Dec. 25, 1964, at Fredericktown.
Wagner received a degree in business from Southeast Missouri State University. He was also a graduate of Officers Candidate School in Fort Knox, Ky., and was commissioned a second lieutenant.
He worked 15 years at Fabick Brothers Equipment Co. He served with the U.S. Army in Germany from 1967-69.
Survivors include a daughter, Michelle "Shelley" Harpole of Cape Girardeau; his mother, Louise Stromick of Fredericktown; two sisters, Barbara Thomasson and Mary Fortner of Fredericktown.
Friends may call at Follis and Sons Funeral Home in Fredericktown from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. David McCutcheon officiating. Burial will be in Marcus Memorial Park in Fredericktown.
