BENTON -- John Franklin Seabaugh, 93, of Benton, died Tuesday, June 18, 1996, at Miner Nursing Center in Miner. He was born Sept. 22, 1902, at Scopus, son of Hosea and Agnes Mungle Seabaugh. He and Lora Ellen Nanney were married Sept. 5, 1924, at Burfordville. She died July 28, 1979...

BENTON -- John Franklin Seabaugh, 93, of Benton, died Tuesday, June 18, 1996, at Miner Nursing Center in Miner.

He was born Sept. 22, 1902, at Scopus, son of Hosea and Agnes Mungle Seabaugh. He and Lora Ellen Nanney were married Sept. 5, 1924, at Burfordville. She died July 28, 1979.

Seabaugh operated a cafe in Benton 23 years and had been a realtor. He was a member of Benton Chamber of Commerce, and former member of Benton School Board.

Survivors include two daughters, Louise Whitmore and Shirley McClellan of Sikeston; a sister, Grace Leslie of Scopus; four grandsons; five great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Funeral Home in Benton from 5-9 p.m. today.

Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Forrest Hills Cemetery at Morley.
