ANNA, Ill. -- John Earl Sadler Sr., 61, of Anna died Sunday, Nov. 23, 1997, at his home.
He was born March 15, 1936, in Jonesboro, the son of James Ervin and Iva Edmonds Sadler. He married Charlene Newman at Jonesboro on June 23, 1956.
He was employed as a state highway maintenance worker. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Anna.
He is survived by his wife; two sons, John E. Sadler Jr., of Cypress and Claude Sadler of Jonesboro; three daughters, Lisa Brashears and Deborah Newton of Jonesboro, and Racheal Miller of Anna; two brothers, Ervin L. and Kenneth D. Sadler; two sisters, Phyllis A. Goins and Judy L. Fowler; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, four brothers, three sisters and a great-grandchild.
Friends may call at Hileman and Parr Funeral Chapel Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, with the Rev. Tom Miller officiating. Burial will be in the Casper Cemetery.
