SIKESTON -- John Russell Felker, 69, of Sikeston, died Sunday, Feb. 28, 1993, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
He was born Nov. 17, 1923, at Sikeston, son of C.E. "Daddy" and Mary Alberta Utterback Felker. He and Mary Joline Edwards were married Jan. 18, 1946. She died Jan. 16, 1988.
Felker had worked in sales and management, and was co-owner of the Bargain Hound before retiring.
He was a member of VFW and Sikeston American Legion, serving as commander of the latter in 1966. He attended First United Methodist Church. Felker served in the U.S. Marines during World War II.
Survivors include two sons, Dr. John Felker Jr. of Cape Girardeau, Dr. C. Edward Felker III of Sikeston; two daughters, Jo Ellen Lewis of Melbourne, Fla., Jane Nowell of Nashville, Tenn.; a sister, Ruth Sharp of Sikeston, and 14 grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church. The Rev. Charles Buck will officiate, with burial in Sikeston City Cemetery.
Friends may call at Ponder Funeral Home after 5 p.m. today.
