John A. Pullen, 64, of Cape Girardeau, formerly of Bell City, Missouri, died Wednesday, May 4, 2016, at his home.

He was born July 4, 1951, in Advance, Missouri, to the late Norris T. and Marie Bryant Pullen.

He was a graduate of Bell City High School, class of 1968, and attended Southeast Missouri State College in Cape Girardeau.

He formerly was employed by Arvin Automotive Industries in Dexter, Missouri, and most recently worked at Procter & Gamble Paper Products in Cape Girardeau.

He was a member of Glory of God Church of God in Christ in Sikeston, Missouri.

He is survived by two brothers, Elder Freddie Pullen Sr. of Cape Girardeau and Dr. Elisha Pullen of Bell City; two sisters, Martha Pullen Bobo of Cape Girardeau and Naomi Pullen Ward of Dellwood, Missouri; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Christ Sanctuary Church of God in Christ in Bell City, where the funeral service will be held at noon Saturday. Officiating will be Dr. Elisha Pullen.

Interment will follow in the J.C. Pullen Memorial Garden in Bell City, with Williams Funeral Home of Sikeston in charge of arrangements.
