TAMMS, Ill. -- John Orsburn, 61, of Tamms died Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2006, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. He was born Nov. 7, 1944, son of Claude and Dorothy Robinson Orsburn. TAMMS, Ill. -- John Orsburn, 61, of Tamms died Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2006, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Nov. 7, 1944, son of Claude and Dorothy Robinson Orsburn.

Orsburn was a farmer and truck driver. He was a member of Pulaski County VFW Post 8891 in Mounds, Ill., and Egypt Mills Antique Tractor Club.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War.

Survivors include a daughter, Stacie Sinn of Tamms; a son, Joe Orsburn of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Audrey Honey of Mounds, Irma Orsburn of Mississippi; a brother, William Orsburn of Terre Haute, Ind.; four grandchildren; and three stepgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms from 5 p.m. to service time today.

A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home, with the Rev. Clint Nale officiating. Military rites will be conducted by VFW Post 8891.
