MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- John Louis Medvik, 93, of Marble Hill died Saturday, Nov. 5, 2005, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
He was born June 1, 1912, in Walsenburg, Colo., son of Michael and Julia Perkovic Medvik. He and Marjorie Cox were married Feb. 4, 1939.
Medvik was a retired switchman for the Terminal Railroad at Union Station in St. Louis. He was a 50-year member of the Royal Order of the Moose in St. Louis. Medvik served in the Civilian Conservation Corps camps.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Michael, Richard and Stephen, all of St. Louis; a daughter, Monica Schremp of DeSoto, Mo.; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, four sisters and a grandchild.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.
Burial and graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Elsberry City Cemetery in Elsberry, Mo.
