John M. Litwicki, 61, 1915 Grandview, died Tuesday, Aug. 6, 1991, at St. Francis Medical Center.
He was born Dec. 10, 1929, in St. Louis, son of Prokop and Maria Steckow Litwicki. He married Virginia Selliman in 1952 in St. Louis. She died Nov. 5, 1972. He then married Patricia Flanagan Oct. 22, 1976, in St. Louis.
Litwicki received a bachelor of science degree in marketing from St. Louis University.
He was a purchasing agent with Edison Brothers Stores Inc. in St. Louis. He was a member of St. Vincent's Catholic Church and its Men's Association, member of Elks Lodge, and was a Fourth Degree Knight with Knights of Columbus. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife; five sons, John Litwicki of St. Louis, James Litwicki, Thomas and Mark McGinnis of Cape Girardeau, Staff Sgt. Patrick McGinnis of Oklahoma City, Okla.; two daughters, Kelly Lehr of St. Louis, Kerry McGinnis of Cape Girardeau, and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Vincent's Church, with the Rev. Christopher Robinson officiating. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. at Resurrection Cemetery in St. Louis.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today. Parish prayers will be at 7:30, and KC rosary at 8.
