JOHN LESTER GOODMAN

John Lester Goodman, 79, of Cape Girardeau, died Saturday, Feb. 13, 1993 at the Cape Girardeau Nursing Center. He was born May 16, 1913 in Jackson, the son of James and Martha Jorden Goodman.

On Aug. 12, 1933 he married Mildred Fisher in East St. Louis, Ill. She preceded him in death on Feb 5, 1988.

He worked as self employed truck driver and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include: two sons, Richard and John Goodman, both of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, JoAnn Allen of Mason, Mich.; two brothers, Jesse Obermiller and Robert Obermiller, both of Jackson; three sisters, Mary Taylor of Lansing, Mich., and Jenny Crowell and Marie Crowell, of Cobden, Ill.; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

There will be no visitation or funeral service. Ford and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
