JOHN L. HAYES

MORLEY -- John Leroy Hayes, 92, of Morley, died Monday, Aug. 9, 1993, at his home.

He was born Jan. 21, 1901, at Lena, Ill., son of William and Alice Hayes. He and Alice Albright were married June 20, 1936, at Lena.

Hayes was a mechanical engineer, and member of the Church of the Brethren in Rockford, Ill.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Carl Hayes of Ontario, Calif.; a daughter, Elaine Hay of Sikeston; a sister, Leola Deery of Freeport, Ill.; two grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Marvin Butrum will officiate, with burial in Oak Ridge Cemetery at Doniphan.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. today.
