MOREHOUSE -- John L. Eaker, 57, of Morehouse, died Monday, May 29, 1995, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
He was born Feb. 12, 1938, at Morehouse, son of Hermel and Ina Evaline Fortner Eaker. He and Margie Absher were married July 20, 1957, in Hernando, Miss.
Eaker was a self-employed carpenter, and had worked at International Shoe Co. 14 years. He was a member of Eagles 1717 at Sikeston.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Teri Hoskins and Cheryl Irwin of Morehouse; two brothers, Edward Eaker of Sikeston, William Eaker of Bloomfield, and six grandchildren.
Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Morehouse after 5 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Calvary Temple Assembly of God Church in Sikeston. The Rev. Dolan Rogers will officiate, assisted by the Rev. Daniel Stoffel. Burial will be in Walker Cemetery near Bloomfield.
