John Charles Huckabee, 61, of Cape Girardeau passed away Saturday, Dec. 10, 2016, at Jackson Manor Nursing Home.
He was born Dec. 4, 1955, in Pocahontas, Arkansas, to Floyd and Wyvonna Jackson Huckabee.
John was a graduate of Cape Girardeau Central High School.
He enjoyed fishing, playing golf and being with family.
Survivors include a daughter, Kelly (Kenny) Gardner; a brother, Ron (Mary Jane) Huckabee; former spouse, Debbie Huckabee; and two grandchildren, Eann and Owen Gardner, all of Cape Girardeau; two nieces, Rhonda (Kevin) Jones of Jackson and Aimee (David) Martin of Cape Girardeau; and a nephew, Chad (Nicole) Huckabee of Millersville. He is also survived by many great-nieces and -nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
Visitation will be from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Mount Auburn Christian Church on Mount Auburn Road in Cape Girardeau.
A memorial service will begin at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the church, with the Rev. Casey Elmore officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Mount Auburn Christian Church, 930 N. Mount Auburn Road, Cape Girardeau, MO 63701.
Cremation was accorded by McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
