SIKESTON -- John W. Holder Jr., 62, of Sikeston died suddenly Wednesday, Jan. 8, 1997, at his home. He was born March 24, 1934, at Commerce, son of John W. and Marie Kidd Holder Sr. Holder was a manager and delivery truck driver 25 years with Empire Gas Co. in Charleston and Sikeston. He was stationed with the U.S. Army in Germany from 1956-58...

SIKESTON -- John W. Holder Jr., 62, of Sikeston died suddenly Wednesday, Jan. 8, 1997, at his home.

He was born March 24, 1934, at Commerce, son of John W. and Marie Kidd Holder Sr.

Holder was a manager and delivery truck driver 25 years with Empire Gas Co. in Charleston and Sikeston. He was stationed with the U.S. Army in Germany from 1956-58.

Survivors include twin daughters, Donna Bisher of Cape Girardeau, Debbie Hendricks of Sikeston; four brothers, Herbert Holder of Cody, Wyo., Lewis Holder of Grantsburg, Ill., Charles Holder of Billings, Mont., Bobby Holder of St. Charles; two sisters, Pauline Myatt of Del City, Okla., Carol Robertson of Wickliffe, Ky.; and a grandson.

Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the chapel, with the Rev. William Releford officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
