John David Gibbs, 41, of Gillette, Wyo., died Sunday, July 1, 2001, in Gillette.
He was born Sept. 13, 1959, in Cape Girardeau, son of Albert Leroy and Dorothy Louise Burger Gibbs.
Gibbs was an engineer with Burlington-Northern Railroad. He was a member of Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers.
Survivors include a daughter, Jacquelyn Gibbs of Edgemont, S.D.; his mother of Scott City, Mo.; five brothers, Bob Gibbs of Salmon, Idaho, Bill, Larry, Garry and Tom Gibbs, all of Scott City; two sisters, Mary Lynn Evans of Scott City and Jane Duncan of Sikeston, Mo.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City after 5 p.m. Friday. A prayer service will be held at 7.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the chapel, with the Rev. David Coon officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
