(Melissa) Garnett Jr., Crystal (Lauren Chapman) Garnett, and Austin Garnett; dear great-grandfather of Reiss, Ethan, Owen, Vincent and William; dear brother of Maxine Rickel, Bob Garnett and Helen Fitzgerald; and dear brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle, cousin and friend.. ...

He was the beloved husband of Peggy P. (Hiett) Garnett; dear father of John Jr. and Timothy A. Garnett; dear grandfather of Kala (Ryan) Groves, Timothy A. (Melissa) Garnett Jr., Crystal (Lauren Chapman) Garnett, and Austin Garnett; dear great-grandfather of Reiss, Ethan, Owen, Vincent and William; dear brother of Maxine Rickel, Bob Garnett and Helen Fitzgerald; and dear brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle, cousin and friend.

Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Kutis Affton Funeral Home, 10151 Gravois Road, St. Louis.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau at 1:30 p.m. Saturday.
In lieu of flowers, contributions would be appreciated to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
