SEDGEWICKVILLE -- John Henry Garland, 78, of Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, Feb. 11, 1998, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. He was born Oct. 31, 1919, at Sedgewickville, son of Henry and Lou Roe Garland. Garland had farmed and also drove a school bus for Meadow Heights School District several years. SEDGEWICKVILLE -- John Henry Garland, 78, of Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, Feb. 11, 1998, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Oct. 31, 1919, at Sedgewickville, son of Henry and Lou Roe Garland.

Garland had farmed and also drove a school bus for Meadow Heights School District several years. He was a member of Sedgewickville United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a half brother, Everett Estes of Cape Girardeau.

He was preceded in death by a sister.

Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Patton from 4-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. J. Michael Davis officiating. Burial will be in Sedgewickville Cemetery.
