John Burton Davie, 89, of Somerville, Tenn., died Wednesday, June 29, 2005, at his home. He was born Dec. 12, 1915, in Cape Girardeau, son of Frederick and Mary Rogers Davie. John Burton Davie, 89, of Somerville, Tenn., died Wednesday, June 29, 2005, at his home.
He was born Dec. 12, 1915, in Cape Girardeau, son of Frederick and Mary Rogers Davie. He married the former Marie Davis. She preceded him in death.
Davie was formerly of Cape Girardeau and Sedgewickville, Mo. He was a farmer.

Survivors include a daughter, Elizabeth Farmer of Somerville, and a grandson.
Graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. today at Oak Grove Cemetery in Charleston, Mo.
Peebles Fayette County Funeral Home of Somerville is in charge of arrangements.
