ANNA - John D. Rayburn, 87, of Anna, died Saturday March 20, 1993 at the City Care Center in Anna. He was born Jan. 9, 1906 in Butler, Oklahoma, the son of Emmerson Monroe and Maggie Lee (Dial) Rayburn.
On Sept. 12, 1926 he married Ethel McClure, who preceded him in death on Jan. 4, 1981.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Anna, a retired general contractor, a member of Anna Lodge #250 A.F. and A.M., the Shriners, and the Carpenters Local Union.
Survivors include: one son, John Rayburn of Littleton, Colo.; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Sitton and Mrs. Pat Van Meter, both of Marble Falls, Texas; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Crain Funeral Home in Anna after 5 p.m. Monday.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with Rev. Larry Shacklee officiating. Burial will follow in the Anna Cemetery.
