John William Cosco, 58, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, Dec. 19, 2008, at St. Joseph Memorial Hospital in Murphysboro, Ill.
He was born July 24, 1950, in Fairmont, W.Va., son of John and Genevieve Cox Cosco. He and Charlotta "Charlie" Bruns were married June 5, 1971, in Alton, Ill.
Cosco was an electrical engineer with McDonnell Douglas 20 years, and then was a travel agent with AAA in Cape Gir­ardeau more than 15 years.
He was an avid classic car collector and model train lover. He was a member of the Studebaker Drivers Club more than 30 years, member of Missouri-Illinois Studebaker Drivers Chapter, Packard International and Edsel Club.
Survivors include his wife; a brother, Philip Cosco of Loso, Mont.; a brother-in-law, Paul Bruns and wife Rita of Godfrey, Ill.; two nephews, Dustin and Nathan Bruns of Godfrey; and many close friends.
A memorial visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Gent Funeral Home in Alton.
