John Copeland

John Paul Copeland, 43, of Kansas City, Mo., died Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2004.

He was born April 23, 1961, in Bonne Terre, Mo., son of Walter and Leathea Copeland. He married Amy Mosley.

Copeland was formerly youth pastor at First Free Will Baptist Church in Farmington, Mo., and later was pastor at Victory Free Will Baptist Church in Kansas City.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Christopher Copeland of Kansas City; a daughter, Anna Copeland of Kansas City; his father of Cape Girardeau; his mother, Leathea Moss of Farmington; and a stepbrother, Michael Copeland of Pensacola, Fla.

He was preceded in death by grandparents.

The funeral was held Monday at Cozean Memorial Chapel in Farmington, with the Rev. David Bates officiating. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery.
