JOHN B. CHAMBERS

CHARLESTON -- John B. Chambers, 89, of the Texas Bend community north of Charleston, died Saturday, April 23, 1994, at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Aug. 22, 1904, at Texas Bend, son of William and Mary Duenne Chambers.

He married Mary Lou McDowell, Sept. 25, 1939. She died Dec. 22, 1990.

Chambers was a retired farmer. He was a member of the St. Henry's Catholic Church in Charleston.

Survivors include several cousins.

He was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.

Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Henry's Catholic Church, with Father James Reynolds officiating.

Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
