Funeral Mass for Joseph W. Miller of Moorhead, Minn., was held Dec. 23, 1999, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Moorhead. The Rev. Michael Foltz officiated. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery in Mankato, Minn.

Wright Funeral Home in Moorhead was in charge of arrangements.

Miller, 80, died Tuesday, Dec. 21, 1999, at his home. He and Margaret Kemp were married in 1957 in Mankato.

He was born Aug. 11, 1919, at Cape Girardeau.

Miller was a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University, Columbia University in New York and the University of Minnesota.

He was an English professor at Moorhead State University from 1959-1985. He was active in state and national English associations, Moorhead State Faculty Association, and St. Joseph Catholic Church Choir.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Michael Miller of St. Paul, Minn.; and a brother, David Miller of Silver Spring, Md.
