Joel Albert Niswonger, 53, of Scott City died Thursday, Nov. 20, 2014, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Jan. 23, 1961, in Cape Girardeau to John Albert and Vivian Doris Eldridge Niswonger. He married Brenda Kay Davis on Aug. 6, 1980. She preceded him in death Nov. 30, 1999.
He was a self-employed plumber.
He is survived by his father of Cape Girardeau; two sons, Trevor Niswonger and Christopher Niswonger of Scott City; a stepson, Scott Madderra of Scott City; two sisters, Darlene Curran of Dale City, Virginia, and Joan Durham of Cape Girardeau; and five grandchildren.
He also was preceded in death by a grandchild.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Monday at First Assembly of God Church in Scott City, with the Rev. Randy Morse officiating.
