ANNA, Ill. -- Joe Sadler, 63, of Anna died Tuesday, Oct. 22, 1996, at his home.
He was born July 1, 1933, at Ware, son of Irvin L. and Velma W. Wilde Sadler. He and Betty Jo Lindsey were married Aug. 7, 1964, at Marion.
Sadler was part owner of ARM Land Trust, affiliated with Carbondale Ready-Mix. He was a member, Sunday School teacher, usher and trustee at First Baptist Church, and a member of Teamsters Local 347.
Survivors include his wife; four sons, Wesley Wright and Joey Sadler of Anna, Orville Wright of Tampa, Fla., Rory Sadler; six sisters, Frieda Purcell of Detroit, Mich., Barbara McCarver of Buncombe, Lois Cruse and Judy Dillow of Anna, Joann Peterman of Jonesboro, and Linda Osman of Cypress.
He is also survived by eight brothers, Irval "Bill" and Clifford "Dick" Sadler of Jonesboro, William "Runt" Sadler of Caseyville, Larry and Jerry "Bud" Sadler of Anna, Daniel, Rev. Paul and Eddie Sadler of Dongola; and 10 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.
Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna after 5 p.m. today, and after 8 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the church, with the Revs. Larry Shacklee, Steve Wilkinson and Paul Sadler officiating. Burial will be in Anna Cemetery.
