BLOOMFIELD -- Joe Arnold Mitzel, 63, of Powersite died Sunday, Nov. 28, 1999, at his home. He was born Aug. 24, 1936, in Bear Springs, Tenn., son of Oscar David and Viola Crain Mitzel. He and Edith Robinson were married Nov. 22, 1957. Mitzel lived in Granite City, Ill., most of his life, moving to the Branson area in 1998. He was a retired carpenter. BLOOMFIELD -- Joe Arnold Mitzel, 63, of Powersite died Sunday, Nov. 28, 1999, at his home.

He was born Aug. 24, 1936, in Bear Springs, Tenn., son of Oscar David and Viola Crain Mitzel. He and Edith Robinson were married Nov. 22, 1957.

Mitzel lived in Granite City, Ill., most of his life, moving to the Branson area in 1998. He was a retired carpenter. Mitzel was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Russell Mitzel of Greenfield, Ind.; a daughter, JoAnn Martinez of Granite City; a brother, Charles Mitzel of San Diego, Calif.; and five grandchildren.

Friends may call at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield from 6-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Henry Crippen officiating. Burial will be in Hill Cemetery near Bloomfield.
