Joe Ann Johnson, 87, of Macon, Mo., formerly of Cape Girardeau, died Sunday, June 3, 2012, at Macon Health Care Center.
A graveside service was held June 8, 2012, at Park Lawn Cemetery in Brookfield, Mo., with the Rev. Jim Bolin officiating.
Joe Ann was born Oct. 8, 1924, at Neelys Landing, daughter of Robert Ellison and Mary Elizabeth McCain Rumfelt. She married Charles William Johnson Jr. on March 12,1955. He preceded her in death May 24, 2003.
She was a member of High Hill Church at Neelys Landing.
She was preceded in death by her parents; six brothers, Robert E. Rumfelt Jr., Hezekiah Rumfelt, Benjamin Franklin "Frank" Rumfelt, William Alonzo Rumfelt, Leo Rumfelt and Milo Rumfelt; six sisters, Helen Rumfelt, Sarah Rumfelt, Grace Norton, Ava Hollifield, Hallie Pinkerton and Hannah Comer.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
