Jodi Ann Hobbs, 54, of Cape Girardeau, formerly of Jacksonville Beach, Florida, died Friday, Feb. 24, 2017, at her home.
She was born on Aug. 10, 1962, in Pasadena, California. She married Steven Hobbs on Sept. 25, 1982.
Jodi loved her family and friends. She especially enjoyed spending time at the beach. She enjoyed watching her kids grow and spending time with her grandkids. Music and dancing kept a smile on her face.
While living in Florida, she worked in customer service, where she showed her true compassion for others as she helped those struggling to pay their bills.
She is survived by her husband, Steven Hobbs Sr.; a daughter, Heather Hobbs; a son, Steven (Renee) Hobbs Jr.; three grandchildren, Jaela Nicole Merrifield, Ophelia Rain Theresa Hobbs and Roaen Ashyr Delano Hobbs; her father, Bill Franklin; two sisters, Kim (James) Bullock and Debbie (Richard) Giudicelli; nieces; nephews; other relatives; and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Becky Franklin.
Family and friends may gather from 3:15 p.m. until the time of service Saturday at Red Star Baptist Church.
The family of Jodi Ann Hobbs will host a memorial service at 4:15 p.m. Saturday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Crain Funeral Home to assist the family with final expenses.
