CHAFFEE -- Joda Matthew Griggs, 16, of Chaffee died Saturday Dec. 21, 1996, near Chaffee.

He was born Nov. 9, 1980, in Cape Girardeau, son of Joda and Beverly Stroup Griggs. He was a sophomore at Chaffee High School and a member of its choir. He also belonged to the First Baptist Church Youth Group.

He is survived by his parents, maternal grandmother, Jeanie Stroup of Chaffee, and a half-sister, Michelle Griggs of Chaffee.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church in Chaffee, with the Rev. Kenneth Roberts officiating. Burial will be in the Union Park Cemetery.
