JoAnn Kesterson, 86, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, July 3, 2019, at Lutheran Home.
She was born Feb. 10, 1933, in New Madrid County, Missouri, to Howard R. and Mabel Gladys Riehn Followell. She and Paul R. Kesterson Sr. were married May 19, 1951, at Cape Girardeau. He preceded her in death June 13, 2018.
Survivors include a son, Steven Douglas (Karri) Kesterson of Cape Girardeau; daughter-in-law, Kay Kesterson of Cape Girardeau; sister, Betty Goode of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, Bill (Ann) Followell and Marvin (Betty) Followell, both of Kalamazoo, Michigan; sister-in-law, Pat Followell of Arkansas; five grandchildren, Paul R. Kesterson III, Jason David Kesterson, Zac (Catie) Kesterson, Brandi (Andrew) Risse and Abbi Kesterson; eight great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son, Paul Kesterson II; a sister; four brothers; and a granddaughter, Fallon Fox.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
Service will follow at noon Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Revs. David Pringle and Marvin Followell officiating. Entombment will be at Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum in Cape Girardeau.
