PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Joan Frances Regelsperger, 77, of Perryville died Saturday, July 28, 2012, at Independence Care Center in Perryville.
She was born May 23, 1935, at Perry County, Mo., to Arnold Huber and Hester Heberlie Huber. She and Gilbert "Gib" Regelsperger were married Sept. 8, 1956, in Perryville.
Joan worked as a secretary at the Association of the Miraculous Medal in Perryville for 35 years. She had also worked at the Perry County Republic Monitor newspaper in Perryville.
She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville. She served as president of the Ladies of Charity. She was a founding member of the Special Disciples of St. Vincent Parish and also a founding member of United Enterprises (Perry County's sheltered workshop). She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary as well as the AMVETS Auxiliary.
She is survived by her husband, Gib Regelsperger of Perryville, Mo.; two daughters, Diane Wolferding and husband Bruce of St. Charles, Mo., and Nancy Board and husband Erden Eruc of Seattle, Wash.; two sons, Dennis Regelsperger of St. Louis and Jeff Regelsperger of Perryville, Mo., and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and three brothers.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday at Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville. Parish prayers will be at 6 p.m. Visitation will continue from 6:30 a.m. to 1:50 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The rosary will be recited at 9 a.m.
Funeral Mass will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, with the Revs. Jason Schumer and Milton Ryan concelebrating.
Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
