Joan M. Baudendistel L'Hote, 63, of St Louis went home to God on Monday, Sept. 16, 2013. She was born Jan. 20, 1950, in Perryville, Mo., daughter of Louis and Cordula Leible Baudendistel. Joan was the loving wife of Hubert "Louie" L'Hote Jr. They were married July 11, 1970, and lived happily together 43 years...

Joan M. Baudendistel L'Hote, 63, of St Louis went home to God on Monday, Sept. 16, 2013.

She was born Jan. 20, 1950, in Perryville, Mo., daughter of Louis and Cordula Leible Baudendistel. Joan was the loving wife of Hubert "Louie" L'Hote Jr. They were married July 11, 1970, and lived happily together 43 years.

Joan had been office manager at L'Hote & Co. P.C. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in St. Louis. Joan was a ray of light in the world. She was a friend to many and loved by all who met her. She was a "cheer grandma", a "hockey mom" and a "soccer mom". She loved to dance, color and cuddle with her grandkids, and spend time with her family.

She is survived by her husband of St. Louis. Joan was an amazing mother of Kim (John) Evans and Justin (Nikki) L'Hote of St. Louis; loving and adoring grandmother to Brianna, Jaxon and Camden. She leaves behind sisters and brothers, Darlene McLemore of Jackson, Velma (Elmer) Oswald and Doris Hoehn of Perryville, Donny (Beverly) Baudendistel of St. Charles, Mo., Nancy (Sonny) Hagan, Louis "Jr." (Ann) Baudendistel and Marilyn (Ronnie) Berkbuegler of Perryville; nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers-in-law, Bob McLemore and Kenny Hoehn; two nephews, Michael Berkbuegler and Dwayne Cox.

Family and friends may pay their last respects from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. Friday at Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville. The parish wake will be at 7 p.m. Thursday.

Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, with the Rev. Milton Ryan officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Washington University Physicians research of mycobacterium disease or the American Lung Association.
