Joan Hornback

COBDEN, Ill. -- Joan Hornback, 73, of Cobden died Sunday, Aug. 7, 2005, at Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis.

She was born Nov. 4, 1931, in Chicago, daughter of Warren and Dorothy Schubert Cornue. She and Jerry Hornback were married July 31, 1965.

Hornback was a bookkeeper at AJ One Stop.

Survivors include her husband; seven daughters, Cheryl Kasper of Arlington Heights, Ill., Donna Sorensen of Humboldt, Tenn., Pam Duskey of Jonesboro, Ill., Kim LaBott of Palatine, Ill., Sherry Scott of New Jersey, Betty Sorensen of Kansas City, Mo., Laurie Yates of Cobden; two sons, Jerry Hornback Jr. of Cobden, Ron Hornback of Crystal Lake, Ill.; 15 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three sons.

Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Anna, Ill., from 6 to 9 p.m. today.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in Chicago.
