ADVANCE -- Funeral for Jimmy Beal of Advance will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Morgan Funeral Home. The Revs. Keith Price, Watis Harrell and Brad Moore will officiate. Burial will be in Beatty Cemetery at Arab.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. today. A Masonic service will be held at 7.
Beal, 77, died Tuesday, Oct. 12, 1999, at Advance Nursing Center.
He was born June 28, 1922, at Arab, son of Howard and Cora Day Beal. He and Elvonda Harrell were married April 15, 1949, in Piggott, Ark.
Beal was in the timber business and was a tree farmer many years. He received the Missouri Tree Farmer of the Year award in 1974. He was a member of Brownwood General Baptist Church and Zalma Masonic Lodge 545 AF&AM.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Gary Beal of Arab, Jimmy Beal of Zalma, Jesse Beal of Advance; five daughters, Gail McLane, Marsha Ward and Linda Nelson, all of Advance, Brenda Glasener of Zalma, Vicki Wheetley of Peoria, Ill.; a brother, Landis Beal of Zalma; and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, a sister, a half sister, and a half brother.
