Jimmie Wayne Glaus Sr., 74, of Scott City died Monday, Oct. 21, 2013, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born July 2, 1939, at Fornfelt (Scott City) to Ervin and Ollie Mae Crader Glaus. He and Alice Pobst were married April 8, 1961, at Chaffee, Mo.
Jimmie served his country in the U.S. Navy.
He worked at Procter & Gamble 24 years, retiring in 1997. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge in Wappapello, Mo.
Survivors include his wife, Alice Glaus; two sons, Jimmie Wayne (Katherine) Glaus Jr. of Richmond, Texas, and Troy Douglas (Sandy) Glaus of Scott City; a brother, Ronald Glaus of Kelso, Mo.; two sisters, Georgia Schaefer and Patricia Essner of Scott City; five grandchildren, Matthew Stanford, Ashley Glaus, Corey Bowles, Marshall Glaus and Alexander Glaus.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel in Cape Girardeau, with deacon Jim Long officiating.
