JIMMIE BURKETT

CHARLESTON, Mo. -- Funeral for Jimmie Dale Burkett will be held at 11 a.m. today at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. The Revs. Dolan Rogers and Bob Medlock will officiate. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery.

Burkett, 85, died Monday, June 12, 2000, at Miner Nursing Center.

She was born June 20, 1914, in Calhoun, Miss., daughter of John Henry and Bertha Belle Hallums Cozart. She and Thomas Ira Burkett were married Oct. 21, 1933. He died Nov. 29, 1989.

Burkett lived in Mississippi County most of her life. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Sikeston.

Survivors include two daughters, Helen Hopper of Charleston, Brenda Cooper of Sikeston; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters.
