MOREHOUSE -- Joseph Miller "Jim" Vaughn, 74, of Morehouse died Friday, Oct. 29, 1999, at the Sikeston Convalescent Center. He was born Oct. 10, 1925, in Tanner, son of Henry and Maggie English Vaughn. He married Dorothy Mae Wyatt June 7, 1952, in Clay County, Ark. She died Feb. 17, 1986. He was a retired farmer. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Morehouse...

MOREHOUSE -- Joseph Miller "Jim" Vaughn, 74, of Morehouse died Friday, Oct. 29, 1999, at the Sikeston Convalescent Center.

He was born Oct. 10, 1925, in Tanner, son of Henry and Maggie English Vaughn. He married Dorothy Mae Wyatt June 7, 1952, in Clay County, Ark. She died Feb. 17, 1986. He was a retired farmer. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Morehouse.

He is survived by three sons, Billy Vaughn of Diehlstadt, and Danny and Ricky Vaughn, both of Sikeston; two daughters, Shirley Vaughn Evans of East Prairie and Lois Vaughn of Austin, Texas; a brother, Raymond Vaughn of Canalou; two sisters, Mary Cantrell of Sikeston and Evelyn Webb of Morehouse; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, two brothers, three sisters and a grandchild.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Blanchard Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral chapel, with the Rev. Allen Lutes officiating.

Burial will be at Dogwood Cemetery.
